DreamFighters.com’s Adam Baker was lucky enough to get a hold of Sergei Kharitonov, and asked him a few questions. Thank you Sergei.
Special Thank you goes out to Golden Glory!
DreamFighters.com: What have you been up to since you fought at DREAM.6 ? Have you been training, taking a break?
Sergei Kharitonov: I have been training my stand up at Golden Glory gym in Breda Holland.
DreamFighters.com: You are training with Team Golden Glory - How is that going for you? Do you train much with Alistair?
Sergei Kharitonov: I train the programm like all the golden glory guys are doing, we do a lot of sparring and pad training, Cor hemmers is a great trainer. I am really improving and I will be ready for K-1 fights this year. I train with Stefan Leko, Chalid, Alistair, Errol Zimmerman and a lot with Gokhan Saki!
I am also exited that John Olav Einemo is training now with us, he is great for me to work on my ground skills.
DreamFighters.com: WIll you be fighting at DREAM.7 ? If not, do you know when you will be fighting?
Sergei Kharitonov: I will be fighting april 5th, I do not know the oponent yet!
DreamFighters.com: Are you still going to fight for DREAM, or are you wanting to fight for Affliction MMA, or the UFC at all?
Sergei Kharitonov: I will fight in Dream but if good offers come from Affliction or Strikeforce, i will be there. UFC likes exclusivity and this is not possible for me!
DreamFighters.com: What do you think of UFC’s HW champion Brock Lesnar - Would you like to fight him? Yes,
Sergei Kharitonov: I would love to fight him, he is a great wrestler, but I know I can beat him. My cardio and stand up are really improving and I am free of injuries.
DreamFighters.com: Many people praise you, and say you are the one man to beat Fedor. Do you think you can beat Fedor?
Sergei Kharitonov: Everybody is beatable also fedor, I would like to fight him on NYE 2009 in Japan.
DreamFighters.com: Mirko Crocop has said he would like to fight you. What do you think.
Sergei Kharitonov: I am ready to fight Cro Cop!

DreamFighters.com was able to speak with Alistair Overeem once again. We like to thank Alistair for always keeping on contact with us at DreamFighters.com
Special Thank you goes out to Golden Glory!
DreamFighters.com: Great speaking with you once again Alistair. How are things going? Are you taking a little break, or back to training?
Alistair Overeem: I have been on a holiday to Miami and started training again in february, right now i am back in the gym and are very pleased to be training with John Olav Einemo, with his 2 meter high being ADDC heavyweight champion, he is the perfect sparringpartner for me. John Olav Einemo just signed with Golden Glory and is currently training at Golden Glory Breda in Holland.
DreamFighters.com: Do you know when you will be fighting next?
Alistair Overeem: Maybe I will be fighting another k-1 fight March 28 or in Dream April 5th, maybe I do both, hahahahaa
DreamFighters.com: How was you time at the UFC in Ireland when you met Dana White and watched the UFC?
Alistair Overeem: It was great, my management arranged the trip to England, I went together with team mate Semmy schilt, they had to move us from the first row to inside the gates as there were to many fans coming for pictures. It was a great evening. Dana was nice and we talked about me maybe coming to the UFC and dana told me he would talk to the Golden Glory management!
DreamFighters.com: Are you wanting to fight in the UFC? Can you tell us when you will be fighting in the UFC next?
Alistair Overeem: I am a fighter, i am still young and right now I still have a conctract with Dream. My management is working on several deals!
DreamFighters.com: Any desire to fight for Affliction MMA, and possibly take on Fedor?
Alistair Overeem: Yes
DreamFighters.com: Randy Couture told us you would be a GREAT addition to the UFC - Who in the UFC would you like to fight?
Alistair Overeem: I have not really a problem with fighting anybody, so when there will be an agreement, i will hear who my opponent will be. Mirr, Lesnar its all good for me!
DreamFighters.com: Mirko Crocop is back in the UFC. Any Desire to fight him there?
Alistair Overeem: Pffffffffffff , if he really put out the statement with the basement crap he sunk very far. i gave him the opportunity to fight me a NYE but he fought Hong men Choi, you do the math!
DreamFighters.com: There has been words saying you are to fight Remy Bonjasky in a K-1 fight. Is that true?
Alistair Overeem: I have challenged him as he is a three time K-1 champion and i defeated finalist Badr hari this year, this would be the most challenging for me right now. i have everything to win in that fight and nothing to loose!
DreamFighters.com: What are your thoughts on the WAMMA belt and the WAMMA system of crowning 1 champion in each weight class across promotional lines. Fedor and Shinya Aoki currently hold a WAMMA belt each.
Alistair Overeem: I hold the world heavyweight strikeforce title and i am planning to get the Dream heavyweight belt as well, so WAMMA and UFC could also be edit at that list, hahahahaaha
DreamFighters Exclusive with Frank Shamrock
We want to take a moment to thank Frank for speaking with us today. We would like to ask everyone to please check out his website! FrankShamrock.com
DreamFighters.com: Frank, great having you with us today. What have you been up to? Have you been training? Injuries all mended up?
Frank Shamrock: I have been opening new Shamrock MMA schools and spending time with my baby daughter nicolette; she was born in april of 08. I train every day except Sundays and I have really been studying boxing and wrestling. All of the big injuries have healed up and I feel pretty good.
DreamFighters.com: You have made it official that you will be fighting Nick Diaz - What do you think of him as a fighter, and what do you think of the Match-up (your predictions for the fight)
Frank Shamrock: I like Nick as a fighter. He’s always game to fight and always comes forward. I dont like the way he represents the sport at all. He acts like a punk kid. I like the match up and think it swings well for me in the striking. He’s got a good ground game and i think he will trade with me and get KO’d.
DreamFighters.com: If you win against Nick, who is next on your list? Is there anyone in particular you would like to fight?
Frank Shamrock: After i beat Nick I would like to fight Tito and then Cung Le again. I would still like to fight Ken too if he can get to the ring.
DreamFighters.com: Any desire to go over to Affliction and fight some of their guys who called you out (Vitor Belfort and Tito Ortiz)
Frank Shamrock: I would love to fight both Vitor and Tito. I dont think i will be in the afffiction shows, as i am down with Strikeforce and Showtime.
DreamFighters.com: We have to ask. Any chance we ever see you fighting in the UFC, possibly against Anderson Silva?
Frank Shamrock: I am open to all things. I would love to fight silva and have been a fan for many years.
DreamFighters.com: Frank, we have a HUGE Croatian fan base, and the croatians on DreamFighters.com asked me to ask you this because they respect you so much. “What are your thoughts On Mirko Crocop, past and present?
Frank Shamrock: Mirko is a great fighter and ambassador for the sport and country. I think he has always been a great fighter with an amazing focus for combat.
DreamFighters.com: Frank, what are your thoughts on the WAMMA belt and WAMMA system of crowning a single champion in each weight class across promotional lines?
Frank Shamrock: WAMMA is a great idea. It’s time for the sport to recognize a world champion in each weight class. It will happen when the fans demand it.
DreamFighters.com: Frank, there is still lot’s of talk about your brother Ken, and the possible match-up between you guys. Will this ever happen do you think? Do you think he still has it in him to fight, or should he hang em up?
Frank Shamrock: Fighting ken has been a dream of mine for a long time. I worked for over two years to make this fight happen and ken’s actions and decisions with his brand and his fights have made it near impossible. I still have hopes that it will happen, as its an important story to tell. But yes he is done and should hang it up.
DreamFighters.com: Frank, is there anyone you would like to thank or say something too?
Frank Shamrock: I want to thank my wife, staff and students for supporting me and my dreams. Its been an amazing journey and i could not have done it without them.
DreamFighters.com: We know that you are also a business man as well as figurehead for the entire sport, whats next for Frank Shamrock the business man?
Frank Shamrock: The next venture for me is publishing my book ‘MMA for Dummies’ with the worlds largest publishing company, Wiley Publishing. I am so excited about sharing my 15 years of study with the world and showing everyone what MMA is really about. Also I am bringing MMA to the masses with my Shamrock MMA franchise which i have opened 3 so far.
DreamFighters.com: Frank, it’s been a honor speaking with you. We wish you the best of luck. Thanks again Frank!
Frank Shamrock: Thank you for the support!
DreamFighters.com Fedor Exclusive
February 16, 2009 by admin · 7 Comments
DreamFighters.com: Fedor, we want to start out by saying its an Honor speaking with you, and thank you for taking the time to speak to me.
DreamFighters.com: What have you been up to since your Win at Affliction 2, against Arlovski?
Fedor Emelianenko: Well, when I came back from the USA I almost immediately had to start working on the movieproject I’m in. The movie is called the fifth element. Besides this I am training for a Sambo fight in March.
DreamFighters.com: How did that fight go for you? Do you feel Anderi was getting the better of you standing up?
Fedor Emelianenko: No, I don’t. Arlovski is a very good striker but if you watch the fight closely you can see he didn’t hit me that much. I did not feel in trouble at any moment.
DreamFighters.com: Your team said you did not properly train for that fight. Is that correct? Was it a concern for you going into this fight ?
Fedor Emelianenko: Because of the filmproject I didn’t have the time to train as I usually do for a fight but it was enough to get in shape and get focussed. It wasn’t a concern because I felt strong and was confident in an good outcome.
DreamFighters.com: Once again, you are the WAMMA HW champion - How does it feel to wear the WAMMA belt once again?
Fedor Emelianenko: It felt great of course. I think that the opponents I fought were all good challengers for the WAMMA title.
DreamFighters.com: Do you know who you will be fighting next? Josh Barnett? Your manager hinted at Vitor Belfort ?
Fedor Emelianenko: I don’t know yet. I have much respect for both Josh and Vitor.
DreamFighters.com: Will you be fighting on the next affliction Card? Is there been any talks of you fighting Brock Lesnar?
Fedor Emelianenko: Yes, I will fight again on the next affliction card. Besides this me and my management hope to get a chance to talk to Dana White in person in June to discuss a possible fight between me and Brock.
DreamFighters.com: (Fan Question) What are your thoughts on the WAMMA belt and WAMMA system?
Fedor Emelianenko: I think the WAMMA is a professional organization, I also like the system.
DreamFighters.com: (Russian Fan Question) Back in Pride days, can you remember 1 moment with Josh Barnett and Wanderlei Silva that stands out in your mind?
Fedor Emelianenko: With Josh I have very good memories. We sometimes partied after a fight back in the Pride days together with my trainers. I remember Wanderlei mostly for his fights in the ring. I think he was a great sensation in the ring.
DreamFighters.com: (Croatian Fan Question) Fedor, we have a young Croatian here that would like to ask you something: “Hi Fedor, it’s honor speaking with you. Was there any time back in Pride that you and Mirko spent time together, or had some fun? Was Mirko hard to get along with”
Fedor Emelianenko: I never spend time with Mirko outside the ring. We both respected each other. It’s about time we would do something together.
DreamFighters.com: Fedor, out of all the fights you have had, who Punches the hardest, who Kicks the hardest, and who was the best wrestler?
Fedor Emelianenko: Well Fujita is the only one who ever hit me right, and he hit hard! But I can’t really make a good comparison with the other guys.
DreamFighters.com: Fedor, what was your thoughts of kiril sidelnikov’s fight?
Fedor Emelianenko: I think Kirill did a good job, he is only 21 and needs to learn much more. Buentello is a very experienced fighter and was the smarter fighter. But the next time Kirill must listen better to his corner..,
DreamFighters.com: Fedor, we thank you very much for taking the time to speak to us today. We wish you the best of luck. God Bless

DreamFighters Exclusive With Affliction’s C.O.O
DreamFighters.com was able to catch up with Affliction’s C.O.O, Michael Cohen to ask him a few questons about “Day Of Reckoning” and Affliction’s future.
DreamFighters.com: Michael, thanks again for speaking to me at dreamfighters.com.
Michael Cohen: Adam, great to speak with you again.
DreamFighters.com: Michael, what were your thoughts on the Affliction Day Of Reckoning event?
Michael Cohen: The Affliction Day Of Reckoning event went incredibly well. Each of the bouts was spectacular and provided the sellout crowd with the event everyone expected.
DreamFighters.com: Where were your impressions of the Fedor vs. Arlovski fight?
Michael Cohen: Arlovski looked incredibly impressive for the first two minutes of the bout. His standup and striking was exactly what Freddie Roach said it was…sharp and targeted. While Andre was attempting a flying knee, Fedor timed a perfect right hand that caught him flush and ended the fight with a thunderous knockout.
DreamFighters.com: Can you tell us when or possibly where the next Affliction event will be?
Michael Cohen: Over the past few days, we have been discussing the many venues available to us. Personally, I would like to see an East Coast event. However, Affliction’s fan base on the West Coast is enormous; it is conceivable to see yet another California event.
DreamFighters.com: WIll Affliction continue to work with WAMMA? Do you see a strong and long relationship with Affliction MMA and WAMMA? (we are big supporters of WAMMA)
Michael Cohen: Affliction looks forward to continued relations with the WAMMA Organization. Fedor remains the WAMMA Heavyweight champion and holds their belt. No one can dispute his legitimacy as the champ or his WAMMA title. Tom Atencio is currently working on other weight class matches for Champion belts.
DreamFighters.com: Can you tell us any more news on if Fedor will be fighting at the next 2 affliction events?
Michael Cohen: This has not been decided as of this moment.
DreamFighters.com: Have you had any further conversations with the UFC or Dana White that may lead to a Fedor versus Lesnar bout?
Michael Cohen: I have not spoken to either the Fertittas or Dana in quite a while. In the past 2 weeks (since the Day Of Reckoning event) Mr. Trump has been bombarded by e-mails asking for him to broker this deal with the UFC. While I am not certain this will happen, it certainly is intriguing and would be a great bout for all the fans.
DreamFighters.com: How did you find working with Golden Boy and do you think the event went better than the first event?
Michael Cohen:The answer is definitely yes. Working with Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions helped make the event a true success. What else could it be when you add the abilities of Oscar de La Hoya to that of Donald Trump!
DreamFighters.com: Michael, thank you for taking the time to speak to me at DreamFighters.com.
Michael Cohen:As always, you are welcome and thank you for your continued interest in Mr. Trump’s Affliction Entertainment company.
