Aleks Emelianenko: Dynamite + Affliction

In a recent Interview with Aleksander Emelianenko, Mr. Emelianenko stated he will be fighting in January against Josh Barnett. However, he is not stopping there. He also stated he could be fight for DREAM at the Fields Dynamite Event in Japan on NYE.

When asked about who he will be facing next:

“An agreement has been reached that the Affliction show on January 24th will hold a rematch with the former UFC champion Josh Barnett,” he said.

Aleks also added:

“And there is a chance that before this I will fight at the traditional New Year’s Eve show in Japan. But talks on this fight are still going on.”

Many people are concerned because we have yet to be given the main reasons for not fighting at Affliction 1, and statements from the board saying Alek’s will never fight in the USA.

However, this statement has given some hope on the isse:

He claimed he has negotiated his debut with Golden Boy Promotions (Oscar DeLa Hoya’s company).
