DreamFighters.com was able to catch up with Oleg Taktarov to talk about the Affliction fight, Fedor, His new reality show, and a few other things. DreamFighters.com Oleg, thank you for taking the time to speak with me. Oleg Taktarov: No problem, happy to do this interview for you. DreamFighters.com Are you training right now for any up comming fights or training in general? Oleg Taktarov: Been training very hard. Right now just finised, reality show in Russia which will be very big, good fighters, russian. called: dirty dozen. Doing this show was more important that any fight for me, because we gave 2nd chances to these fighters. Many of these fighters have run into some very bad luck, and now we gave them all chances to be champions. DreamFighters.com Are you working on any Movie projects? (If so, which one?) Oleg Taktarov: I have 2 staring roles from Russia, in the USA I will wait until I get 2nd or staring role. I dont wana play dumb guys or bad guys all the time...Want to take next step to take main role. DreamFighters.com Will you be fighting this year? Oleg Taktarov: I would if fight was offered to me. right now in best shape in my life...2 weeks of hard training with reality show...3 times a day...boxing grappling, MMA, conditioniong, DreamFighters.com If there is someone you would like to fight, who would it be? Oleg Taktarov: I would like to fight many people, mainly losses from the past in the UFC. Right now I finally watch my diet (laughs) and I would like to now fight at 205. Ken Shamrock would be a great match up. DreamFighters.com You are comming off a victory against Mark Kerr at Yamma - How was that fight for you? Oleg Taktarov: It was a good fight, I followed my plan and I was in very good shape. DreamFighters.com Ken Shamrock has told DreamFighters.com he would like to fight you again. Would you fight Ken Again? Oleg Taktarov: I would like to fight Ken. First time we fought I didnt win, but i wanted to show him, there was no way you could beat or submit me, and I would control the fight. Yes, I would like to fight Ken Shamrock. DreamFighters.com What did you think of the Affliction fight over the weekend? Oleg Taktarov: watched it this morning, Tim is excellent fighter, very good but Tim look scared, I think at the press conference he looked worried and fedor was just better prepared for the fight.. Tim jsut did not looked prepared. DreamFighters.com What did you think of Fedors very fast victory over Tim Sylvia? Oleg Taktarov: Hes the best at preperationg. He looked amazing. Watched him fight in Sambo, and he was always in amazing shape, and was amazaing at prepreationg and training for whatever fight he fights. I talked with Fedor on many occasions, and I always told him you need to watch out, because you are becomming the best and many people want to fight you and train harder than you to beat you. Fedor always replied respectfully and said. "Don't worry, I know" [Laughs] DreamFighters.com Who do you think is the best P4P fighter in the world right now? Oleg Taktarov: Without a dout, Fedor is the best. I watched him many years in Russia at Judo and Sambo meets, and no one even came close to how well he prepares him self for a fight. DreamFighters.com Would you be interested in fighting for DREAM or Affliction? Oleg Taktarov: 2 monnths ago we had dicussion with DREAM and maybe fighting in DREAM. I am in great shape right now so I would enjoy fighting anywhere. DreamFighters.com how do you think MMA has grown since you fought years ago in the UFC? Oleg Taktarov: really happy USA is the leader in MMA, and has overcome boxing in many ways, glad people of any weight division can become stars. MMA, its all about using your brain.....anyone can become champion, fedor was not the best Judo or sambo player in the early days, but he was focused and trained hard and used him brain more than anyone. DreamFighters.com Is there anything you would like to say to your fans and speak about the state? Oleg Taktarov: glad the fans still support me.
